What's in the Guide?

Readings:  Recent books about action research, school improvement, educational leadership and policy, reflective teaching, and research methods.  These books can be borrowed at the Priddy Library or through direct requests.

WorldCat/ILL:  World/Cat is the discovery tool that allows you to search in one place for many sources available  from multiple libraries. Interlibrary loan is a service to request books, articles, video sources and other materials from other libraries worldwide.

Find Articles:  Databases with peer-reviewed and scholarly journal articles related to teaching and learning available from UMD libraries and searching in Google Scholar. There is also a list of keywords and concepts to help with constructing search strategies and thesis statements.

Standards:  Books and web-based resources related to InTasc and common core standards, statistics, and Bloom's Taxonomy.

Research Help:  Video tutorials to brush up on the research process, search strategies, collecting and analyzing data.

Writing Help:  Resources to help with the final steps of writing and organizing the research paper plus guides to APA style formatting for papers and citations.
