The USG Pressbooks Network is an authoring platform that allows partner institution faculty, staff and students at USG, as well, as USG staff, to create, adapt, and publish Open Educational Resources.

Pressbooks hosts two monthly online webinars that are open to all users on hosted PressbooksEDU networks (including USG).

Getting started with PressbooksEDU Webinar for users who are new to Pressbooks and want to get started creating books.
Advanced PressbooksEDU Webinar for users who have some familiarity with Pressbooks and are interested in adding interactive elements and more complex activities

A repository of over 5000 open books and other materials created on the PressbooksEDU platform. Using the USG Pressbooks Network platform, faculty and staff who teach/work at USG can clone, revise, remix, and redistribute all of the openly licensed content found through this Directory.
Pressbooks Community Forum
Pressbooks maintains this open, public forum for all users to discuss issues related to the platform. Community members are encouraged to support one another and contribute to the forum however they’re best able.

Recommended Guidelines for USG Pressbooks Network Authors

The USG Pressbooks platform is made available to current faculty and staff who teach/work at USG. In order to maintain the platform’s stability, sustainability, and success, we recommend that users follow these guidelines:

Upload and publish only content that is owned by you, or third-party content that you have verified is open, in the public domain, or available for re-use by way of a Creative Commons or other license.
Assign a Creative Commons license to any content you publish using the platform.
Maximize the accessibility and inclusivity of the content you publish.
Stay within reasonable storage limits. Pressbooks is a publishing tool and is not meant to be a repository or archive. Large media files and other original content should typically be hosted elsewhere, and linked to within Pressbooks.
